Receiving your e-mails: 7 tips to make your contacts want to know more
Now you can learn how to improve the open and click rates of your messages, i.e. how to get your subscribers and contacts to read your messages and want to know more.
Site side
There are two "strategies" to be applied simultaneously:
1. Enrich message content.
- Provide more information in the message
- Ask a few questions
- Include one or two buttons
- One or two attractive images
- Lightweight (less than 110Kb)
A richer, more interesting message will encourage your subscribers to react, and lead to a significant improvement in open and click rates.
2. Avoid spam filters. These filters are set up by ISPs and your subscribers' mail apps. The score of your sites is already very good, and content enrichment will improve this score (see 1. above) and so can we:
- check the validation of each e-mail subscriber for each of your sites, thus eliminating obsolete or incorrect addresses (budget: 90€ for 1000 e-mails).
- carry out monitoring after each mailing to identify inactive emails, i.e. those that don't generate opens or clicks, test them and remove them from the file if necessary (budget: €180 for 6 months).
These tasks can be completed quickly, but they must be planned in advance. at least 3 days before your next newsletter.
Subscribers
In addition to the above actions, you can advise subscribers who are not receiving your messages to do two essential things:
- Create a Contact in their Address Book with the addresses used by your site:
- hello@votre-domaine.com
- envoi@votre-domaine.com et
- contact@votre-domaine.com.
- Check their Spam or Junk or Promotions folders, and move your latest messages to their Inbox.
These two easy steps will "teach" their mail app that your messages should be directed to the inbox.
